Meeting with the local guide. By bus we will visit one of the most fascinating coast roads in the world. In accordance with the rules, the local authority permits the tourist buses ( max hight 3.90 m. max length 12 m.) to drive one way from Positano to Amalfi.
We first reach Positano. Stop at the viewpoint to enjoy the view over Positano a very elegant and exclusive resort overlooking the bay of Salerno and opposite Positano we can admire the small “Li Galli islands”
The houses in Moorish architecture , painted in white, pink and yellow rise along the slope of the rock coast . The narrow alleys meandering between the houses and the flights of steps are embellished by very elegant boutiques and handmade leather sandals shops. Our drive continues passing through Praiano, Vettica and the Fiord of Furore, a small fishing village characterised by an architecture in Arabian stile, the most loved place by the Italian actress Anna Magnani and by the cinema director Roberto Rossellini in the sixties. Stop in Conca dei Marini (parking facilities) and a chance to visit the Emerald Grotto, a natural cave eroded by the sea where water is coulored by the refraction of the sunlight (entrance 5 € per person).
Next stop in Amalfi. Walk through the typical alleys to the main square overlooked by the imposing Saint Andreas’ Cathedral which symbolised the economic and military power of the ancient sea-republic of Amalfi during Middle-ages.

We continue by bus up to Ravello. After a short lunch break, a walk in this peaceful place, which inspired poets and musicians. Visit to the famous Villa Rufolo resting-place of the German musician Richard Wagner who composed one of his most famous symphonies the Parsifal inspired by the amazing view above the sea from the hanging garden of the villa.
After the visit we return to the hotel by bus passing along the panoramic road of the mountain pass of Chiunzi.
