It is the only island of the gulf that is not of volcanic origin and his geologically an extension of the Sorrento peninsula only 5 km. away.

It emerges from a deep sea, mountains, with sheep cliffs, many cavities and caves marks the coastline along with fantastic shaped rocks.

From Anacapri by chairlift we reach the summit of Mount Solaro, along a typical small way we arrive to the house-museum of Axel Munthe, Villa S, Michele, certainly one of the most beautiful example of moresca architecture in the Campania region.

In Capri going across the Piazzetta, the heart of mundane island life, we can reach the Giardini di Augusto, a small park with a stupendous view of the Faraglioni.

Around Capri you find about 65 caves, the most famous is the Blue Grotto, a visit of the island is not complete without a minicruise to admire the incredible coloration that the sea water assumes, with tones that vary from emerald green to an intense blue.
